A Michigan woman has been sentenced to six years in prisonin connection with an alcohol related car crash that killed a Tucson man lastyear.
22 year-old Elizabeth Tuccini was also ordered to 10 yearsprobation on Friday. Tuccini was convicted last month of negligent homicide,aggravated driving under the influence and criminal damage.
Tuccini moved to Tucson from Allen Park, Michigan, lastyear. Pima County prosecutors say Tuccini was speeding on Interstate 10 onDecember 20, 2008 when the pick up truck she was driving collided head-on witha vehicle driven by 54 year-old Marco Salazar.
Tuccini’s blood alcohol content at the time was 0.187percent, more than double the legal limit in Arizona of 0.08 percent.
She did not have a valid driver’s license at the time of thecrash.
