One teenager is dead and another in serious condition after a traffic accident in Phoenix between an automobile and a school bus. The tragic accident occured on the morning of Wednesday, September 23, at 12th Street and Union Hills Drive.
The school bus was making a left-hand turn when a Volkswagen driven by the deceased struck its side, trapping the occupants of the car underneath the bus. Rescue workers had to bring special equipment to extricate the teenagers from the car. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger was taken by EMS to a local hospital, where he is currently in serious condition.
