Two men were injured Thursday when their motorcycle crashed into the back of a car on Interstate 17 in north Phoenix.
According to Phil Dyer of the Daisy Mountain Fire Department, the two men were on a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed, when it slammed into the back of a car in the northbound lanes of Interstate 17, north of Pioneer Road, shortly after 12:30 p.m. Both men are believed to be in their late teens or early twenties.
Several witnesses reported that the motorcycle was following the car closely, Dyer said.
The two men were transported to nearby hospitals in critical condition, but are expected to make a full recovery. No other injuries were reported.
