Six people were killed and sixteen others injured Friday after a bus rolled over on the interstate outside Phoenix.

The crash occurred shortly before 5:30 a.m. on Interstate 10, about 25 miles south of downtown Phoenix. The bus, which was carrying 22 passengers, collided with a pickup truck in the westbound lanes of the interstate. The bus driver overcorrected away from the pickup and rolled over. The roof of the bus was crushed and all of the vehicles windows were broken.

Two men and four women were ejected from the bus and killed. Nine others are in critical condition at hospitals around Phoenix.

An 11 year-old boy is in guarded condition, and four others are listed in good condition.

An Arizona woman was seriously injured in a two-car collision at the Loop 101 and Arizona 51 Wednesday morning.

Arizona Department of Safety spokesman Bart Graves said a westbound vehicle traveled underneath cable barriers, leaving the road, and struck an eastbound car on Loop 101. The female driver who crossed the barrier sustained serious injuries in the accident. She was transported to John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital.

The two vehicles were the only ones involved in the accident.

The condition of the other driver is unknown.

A man from Utah was struck and killed by a vehicle while repairing a car on Interstate 17.

Shortly before 7:15 a.m. 55 year-old Ronald Norris was changing a tire on a Cadillac with another man on Interstate 17 in Maricopa County. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a Kia drifted into the emergency lane and struck Norris as he was standing to the right of the Cadillac's trunk. Norris was pronounced dead at the scene.

Arizona State Police officials say they don't know why the driver of the Kia crossed into the emergency lane. The man standing near Norris and two women inside the Cadillac were not injured.

The accident remains under investigation.

A man in Phoenix, Arizona is in serious condition after being hit by a car during a relay race early Saturday.

Race officials say 18-year-old Robert Mayasich, a runner in the Ragnar Del Sol Relay Race, was running on the shoulder of State Route 74 shortly before 1:30  a.m. when he was struck by a car. The driver of the Toyota Solara that hit Mayasich immediately stopped the vehicle and cooperated with investigators from the Department of Public Safety.

All racers participating in the event were required to wear a reflective bib and a flashing L.E.D. light. Use of a flashlight or headlamp was also mandatory.

No arrests have been made as police continue to investigate the incident.

A charter bus carrying the Dixie State College mens baseball team was involved in a collision with a snowplow early Sunday morning.

The accident occured in the northbound lanes of Arizona State Highway 389 shortly before 6:00 a.m. The Red Storms baseball team was returning home from a four-game Pacific West Conference weekend series in Phoenix when a snowplow slowed to 10 miles per hour as a car on the right of the road came into view. The driver of the bus did not realize the plow was snowing and struck the vehicle from behind.

Trent Pratt, assistant coach of the Storms, said the bus driver "did all he could and did a great job in minimizing the damage." Pratt said the accident "could have been a lot worse."

Five student-athletes were transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center following the crash. All five were treated and released by 10:30 a.m.

A man in Patagonia, Arizona was killed Saturday morning in a two-car collision on State Route 82.

58 year-old Jeffery Lee Kuhn was traveling west in a white 1989 Oldsmobile on SR 82 shortly before 10:20 a.m. Saturday, when the crash occured. According to a spokesperson for the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Kuhn's vehicle crossed the center line into the eastbound lanes and struck a red 2009 Ford SUV head-on. \

Kuhn was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. 

The driver of the Ford, 77 year-old William Shields and his wife, 75 year-old Jane Shields, were injured in the crash and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The couple's two male German short-haired pointers that were in the vehicle, were uninjured in the crash.

A spectator at the NHRA Arizona Nationals was killed Sunday by a tire that broke off a a vehicle in the race.

The woman was a spectator at the National Hot Rod Association's Arizona Nationals on Sunday, when a tire broke off a dragster driven by Antron Brown and flew into the stands. The woman was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix on Sunday, where she was pronounced dead.

A statement released by the organization said "the entire NHRA racing community is in mourning over the tragedy that occurred on Sunday in (Chandler)... Our hearts, our prayers, and our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of the woman who passed away." The statement went on to say that the name of the deceased fan "has not been released to protect the privacy of her family."

The incident is reportedly the circuit's first non-competition fatality since the late 1970's.
