by Administrator 29. September 2009 06:16

A mine employee of Arasco has died as a result of a workplace accident at the Ray Mine outside of Kearny, Arizona.  The 29-year-old man was driving a haul truck when it struck a safety berm, which caused the truck to tip over, killing the man.  The employee of 2 1/2 years was pronounced dead at the scene.  The company believes the incident is a workplace accident, and is complying with investigators.  While the mine remains open, the assistant mine inspector has said that the site of the accident has been closed off to aid the investigation.  Investigation is also being conducted by the Mine Safety and Health Administration.
