Winter Storms Cause Multiple Accidents

by Administrator 28. December 2009 04:15

Winter storms on Tuesday created hazardous conditions on Phoenix roadways, causing multiple crashes on I-10 and I-40. The icy conditions caused multiple accidents and a multi-car pile-up on I-10, leaving nine people injured and causing three deaths.

Vehicle fires left the eastbound lanes of I-10 near Casa Grande closed as fire crews attempted to extinguish vehicle fires and help the injured victims receive medical attention.

Arizona Woman Responsible for Four Hit-and-Run Crashes

by Administrator 22. December 2009 03:06

Arizona DPS authorities say that a 29 year-old woman from Gilbert is responsible for a "hit-and-run spree" that caused damage to four vehicles on I-10. The woman is suspected of being intoxicated during the event, and has been charged with driving while impaired and leaving the scene of an accident.

Authorities say that following an initial collision on I-10 east, the woman turned around and began heading west, where  she caused a chain-reaction by striking a truck, which in turn, caused damage to two other vehicles. Fortunately, the other drivers involved suffered only minor injuries, and the woman was taken into custody.
